How Will You Celebrate Raksha Bandhan in 2023?

Raksha Bandhan is a festival that celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters. The tradition involves sisters tying a sacred thread (Rakhi) on their brothers' wrists as a sign of protection and blessing. In 2023, the festival holds a special significance as we come together to honor the sisterly love that brings us closer and strengthens our bonds.

Inviting Brothers and Sisters for Raksha Bandhan

One of the most heartwarming ways to celebrate Raksha Bandhan is by inviting brothers and sisters from different cities to come together. This brings a sense of unity and strengthens the ties that bind us. Sisters can bless their brothers with sincerity, hopes for success, and the strength to face challenges.

My Personal Experience with Raksha Bandhan

As a man without a sister, I felt the absence of the sisterly bond. I candidly admitted that during my younger days, I didn't get a chance to tie a Rakhi with my younger brother. He was only four when I tied the thread on his wrist, and even in college, I was often seen studying in the library or caught watching a movie, hence missing opportunities to tie a Rakhi. I learned to appreciate every woman as my sister and respect them, but the longing for a real sister remains.

I believe in the inherent strength that lies within women and respect their roles in society. However, it is disheartening to see women suffering, as in the case of mothers and sisters being bought and sold in Afghanistan. We must work towards ensuring justice and fairness for all women. Rakhi, in essence, symbolizes the love and protection between sisters. Let's use this sacred bond ethically and not misuse it for material benefits.

It is crucial to tie Rakhi with genuine intent and not treat it as a tool for gaining material advantages. Brothers should come from foreign lands to India every year to receive blessings from their cousin sisters, ensuring a prosperous future and a failure-free life.
