Exploring the World of Stories: An Author's Perspective on Writing and Publishing

Writing has been a profound and transformative journey for me. When asked to choose a book I would like to be written, the Harry Potter series stands out from a monetary and success standpoint, while Theodore Sturgeon and Charles de Lint are preferred from an aesthetic perspective. Both series offer unique worlds and characters that resonate deeply with readers.

My Writing Journey

My writing primarily revolves around fiction, across multiple genres, including alternate history satire, contemporary urban fantasy, science fiction, and post-collapse magical realism. Currently, I have several books under publication, each with its own compelling theme and storyline.

Upcoming Projects

Black Iron - A re-released second edition of an alternate history satire set in a steampunk England London Under Veil - A contemporary urban fantasy that blends elements of Harry Potter, The Matrix, and Tom Clancy, with a dash of romance Unyielding Devotion - A far-future post-scarcity science fiction theocratic pornography, co-authored with Eunice Hung Sequel to Black Iron - Set several years after the original, titled Gold Gold Gold! Sequel to immechanica - A near-future post-cyberpunk novel published in March, with another book in the queue Third novel in the Black Iron trilogy - Frozen Smoke Collaborative projects with Eunice Hung and Talespinner

These projects are diverse and span a range of topics, from societal vices and consumerism to personal development and philosophy. I am passionate about delving into the human psyche and exploring the complexities of our world through the lens of storytelling.

The Heart of Writing

The act of writing itself has been a therapeutic process for me. Recently, I had to pour my heart out in one of my manuscripts, and the experience was both liberating and cathartic. While I always envision my work in the marketplace, publishing was not initially on my agenda. The first chapter of my current manuscript tugged at my heartstrings, and I felt a deep connection to the material.

Completion and Publication

Currently, I am in the process of completing my manuscripts, preparing them for publication, and developing a marketing plan. The completion of these projects is a significant milestone in my career, and I am eagerly anticipating their release to a wider audience. The creative process brings joy and fulfillment, but it is the feedback and reception from readers that truly validate the journey.

Exploring New Fields

I am also excited about the prospect of exploring new areas within my writing. I am particularly interested in delving into topics such as societal vices, consumerism, materialism, and hedonism, as well as personal development and psychology. These themes offer rich territory for exploration and have the potential to resonate with readers on a deeper level.

Ultimately, my goal as an author is to create compelling stories that not only entertain but also challenge and inspire. By blending diverse genres and themes, I aim to offer readers a unique and enriching experience that stays with them long after they turn the final page.
