Is Final Fantasy XI Still Alive? Player Base and Future Prospects

While the player count is dwarfed by more recent MMORPGs, the game’s loyal following continues to appreciate its nostalgic value and gameplay mechanics.

Cerberus, one of the servers that my husband and I have accounts on, is not overcrowded like the more bustling Asura and Odin servers.
