The Transformative Power of the Quran in Life
The Transformative Power of the Quran in Life
When I first opened the Quran not just for the sake of reading but to truly understand the words of the originator of the universe, I felt a divine Noor being dispersed into my eyes. This experience marked the beginning of a spiritual journey that has transformed my life in profound ways.
As I immersed myself in the Quran with translation, tafseer, a humble heart, and a concentrated mind, I felt as if I accessed a new dimension—an escape from reality and the noise of the world. The Quran provided a respite from the congested traffic of everyday life, judgments and backbiting, a broken soul, and worldly competition. It offered a realm where I could feel the presence of Allah as I read His Words, and enter a Quranic session that promised afterlife blessings, with the promise that Allah would multiply the reward of such devotion.
Impact of Quranic Teachings on Personal Life
The Quran's teachings have played a crucial role in shaping my life positively. For instance, every time NASA's station discovers a new planet being formed, it validates the verses in the Quran. Verse 51:47 highlights the Quran's timeless wisdom and the last communication between man and God. Islam is presented as a perfect religion, though its followers often deviate from the true path. However, through understanding and reason, the Quran guides us to follow its divine commandments.
Change Brought by Quranic Understanding
Although some friends and family judged me negatively for my dedication to the Quran, I have come to understand that we were indoctrinated through false versions of Islam, far from Allah's true path. Through a comprehensive understanding of the Quran, I realized that it is not a spellbook or magical object, but a guide that brings us light if we read, understand, and follow it. The Quran vividly lays out ethical and moral principles, which remove sins and bring purity to our souls.
Following the Quran's commandments leads to a society where leaders and citizens are upright and just. For example, the prime minister and government officials would spend their wealth on the weaker segments of society, citizens would respect and value each other, and oppression would be removed. The Quran emphasizes the need to establish Salat (prayer), bring welfare to orphans and weaker segments of society, and achieve social equilibrium. This guidance is reflected in the stories of prophets like Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, all of whom sought to guide their people to the light and address societal issues.
Conclusion
The Quran’s transformative power lies in its ability to guide us towards a righteous and just life. It is not about following rituals but about adhering to principles that bring light and equality. I seek Allah's help to walk this path and invite all who read and understand the Quran to join me on this journey of transformation.
